When the UFC took over Pride, they offered Hunt a buyout of his contract. Told him that they would pay him, and that he didn't even have to fight for it. Hunt said no thanks. He'd rather fight. Mark Hunt has probably the worst MMA record of any big-name UFC fighter, but he hits like a ton of bricks, and when he wins, his opponents go to sleep. Cheick Kongo, Chris Tuchscherer, Stefan Struve - his knockout of Struve broke Struve's jaw. This kind of power makes him a fan favourite. His fight with Bigfoot Silva in December 2013, while ending with a draw, is considered one of the best heavyweight fights in recent memory. Maybe all time. Hunt is one of those guys we see as an unstoppable force. And in September, there's going to be real fireworks when he meets and immovable object: Roy Nelson.
