Newcastle United is now a business set up for profit and a global advertising tool for Sports Direct. Everyone is aware of that. Mike Ashley needs to change this. That's if he's at all aware of the damage he's done to the club from a fans' perspective, of course. It seems that he might not be after one sentence in a recent club statement left more than a few thousand Geordies scratching their collective heads. The nerve of the PR department at Newcastle United, eh? This, on the face of things, was an attempt by the club to try and go some way to fixing a club that is broken to its core. Now Ashley needs to fix it and make it the place what it was 10-15 years ago. He needs to put the soul back into the club. He needs to make going to St James' Park worthwhile again for fans. He needs to give those fans some hope and allow them to dream once again.
