15 Most Shockingly Underpaid Footballers

15. Seamus Coleman

Wage: £30,000

Six years ago, Seamus Coleman was a stand-out performer on the right-hand side for Irish team Sligo Rovers. In the winter of 2014, the Irishman is one of the most sought-after right-backs in English football, having established himself as a key component in Roberto Martinez€™ Everton philosophy. Having netted an impressive seven goals from right-back last term, Coleman was instantly linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United - Leighton Baines was no longer the most coveted full-back at Goodison Park anymore. Perhaps it is a sign of where he came from, or indeed the level of his meteoric rise, that he still picks up a relatively modest wage each week, pocketing just £30,000. With a string of tabloids predicting the elite clubs to double or even triple his wages should he continue his excellent run of form, perhaps the Irishman€™s agent might chance his arm at looking for a pay rise for his client.
