Six years ago, Seamus Coleman was a stand-out performer on the right-hand side for Irish team Sligo Rovers. In the winter of 2014, the Irishman is one of the most sought-after right-backs in English football, having established himself as a key component in Roberto Martinez Everton philosophy. Having netted an impressive seven goals from right-back last term, Coleman was instantly linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United - Leighton Baines was no longer the most coveted full-back at Goodison Park anymore. Perhaps it is a sign of where he came from, or indeed the level of his meteoric rise, that he still picks up a relatively modest wage each week, pocketing just £30,000. With a string of tabloids predicting the elite clubs to double or even triple his wages should he continue his excellent run of form, perhaps the Irishmans agent might chance his arm at looking for a pay rise for his client.
