15 Worst Ever England Players

9. Matt Jarvis

Number of caps: 1 Even Matt Jarvis probably does a double take when he gets described as an England international. The winger was in good form for Wolves under Mick McCarthy when he was called up for a friendly against Ghana in March 2011, but his entirely unmemorable 30 minute cameo meant he was not selected again. He was an effective player for Wolves, pacy and with a penchant for early, whipped crosses on the counter attack, but he never seemed like a viable long term option for his country. That half hour audition from the bench was enough for then-boss Fabio Capello, and it seems pretty clear that Roy Hodgson doesn't feel another chance is required.
