6. McClaren Has Become Known As "The Wally With The Brolly" And "Second-Choice Steve"

It's fair to say that Steve McClaren's tenure as England manager was an unmitigated disaster - and his Three Lions reign helped coin two derogatory nicknames still brandished towards him today. First of all, McClaren was never the primary pick for the England job back in 2006 - instead he was the back-up to Brazilian World Cup-winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
