16 Worst Celebrations In Football History

5. Lomana Lua Lua's Painful Backflips

Lomana Lua Lua is well known for his acrobatic celebrations. Against Arsenal in April 2006 it went wrong for the then Portsmouth striker as he injured his foot during the landing of his celebration after scoring the equaliser against the Gunners. Initially, Lua Lua had said that he would stop the back flips until Pompey were safe from relegation because of the fear of injury, but then he changed his mind and of course injured himself. Silly Billy. His manager at the time, Harry Redknapp, wasn€™t happy with his striker doing that celebration and he stated the pains he had been feeling before the injury was because of the somersaults. Speaking after that game Redknapp said: "It (foot pain) has only been a problem since he celebrated with that silly somersault.€ Lua Lua isn€™t the only player to injure himself during a celebration, but he's certainly one of the most high profile.
