15. Kyle Walker (TOTTENHAM 2-0 Blackburn)
http://youtu.be/hnjaY8jYarA The direct free kick goal seems a less than regular occurence nowadays, as the years of Beckham, Henry and Ronaldo are long gone. But, Kyle Walker was able to bring back that tradition for one match only against Blackburn Rovers. Only one week after being named the PFA Young Player of the Year, Walker stepped up for the free kick, a skill which he had never really demonstrated prior this match, and lashed the ball into the goal of former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson. Unfortunately for Blackburn they would suffer relegation this year, and with players scoring goals like this one, it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Tottenham have recently provided England and Wales with some very exciting young players, and Kyle Walker is to become the permanent right-back for many years to come. Hopefully, he can take Beckham's spot as lead set-piece taker as well.
14. Hatem Ben Arfa (Aston Villa 1-1 NEWCASTLE)
http://youtu.be/JSdj1QSeryo Hatem Ben Arfa was part of the attacking creativity that benefitted Newcastle for much of 2012, alongside Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye. With tricky feet, a deft touch, great pace and an eye for goal, Ben Arfa proved to be worth every penny spent on him, and following an early career setback in the form of a broken leg, he returned to become a vital component in the Newcastle formula for goalscoring. Trailing to Aston Villa, Ben Arfa demonstrated his supreme talent by driving a shot with rapid pace past the desperately diving goalkeeper, and the Frenchman has continued to display a precocious character with silky skills and a cannon in his right foot. With Newcastle struggling for consistency this year, look for Ben Arfa to help carry the load as Newcastle battle both at home and in Europe in 2013.
13. Leighton Baines (EVERTON 2-2 Newcastle)
http://youtu.be/NYJr3uLmBOE This time Newcastle are the victims of some great team play from the intimidating package of Everton, who have made one of their best starts of the season, which is dangerous considering their usual strong finishes to the campaigns. This goal features three of the prominent figures in their team this year. Marouane Fellaini, who has scored many an important goal for Everton in 2012, laid the ball towards the left-back Leighton Baines, who like so many times before was unstoppable bombing down the wing. After exchanging passes with the superb playmaker Steven Pienaar, who played a backheel back into the path of Baines, who drove a low shot into Tim Krul's goal with surgical precision. If Everton continue to retain the services and performances of these three players in particular, then they could be competing in Europe's premier competition next season.
