12. Andreas Weimann (Liverpool 1-3 ASTON VILLA)
http://youtu.be/sLLkr7Ztk9I The start of Aston Villa's 2012/13 season can only be described as disappointing, with few goals and a team that has little professional experience. However, Paul Lambert's team were able to provide some festive cheer this December with a stunning performance against Liverpool at Anfield. The game was notable for the brilliant performance of Christian Benteke, who illustrated why he is keeping Darren Bent out of the starting line-up with two goals against the Reds. However, it was his back-heel assist to Andreas Weimann which made this list, with the Austrian capping off a great team move by slotting the ball into the goal to stun the Kop into silence.
11. Sergio Aguero (MANCHESTER CITY 3-2 QPR)
http://youtu.be/_qwoAIqynBc "AGUEROOOOOOOOOOO!" The goal that shook the footballing world, and no question was the most important goal of the year. This was a goal that will live in the memory longer than any other on this list. In the biggest game in the history of Manchester City, they battled QPR, with arch rivals Manchester United waiting in the wings to take the title if the Citizens were to slip up. And that nearly happened, as going into injury time QPR were set to shock everybody by robbing City of the title. That was until the last minute, as Sergio Aguero sprinted towards the penalty box, exchanging passes with Mario Balotelli, before scoring and sending the crowd into raptures. On perhaps the most gripping day in Premier League history, Aguero completely justified the price paid for bringing him to Manchester, and provided the long-suffering City fans their day in the sun.
10. Luis Suarez (LIVERPOOL 1-1 Newcastle)
http://youtu.be/cH9mgohXiCk Luis Suarez is one of the most controversial figures in world football at the moment, and this season he is beginning to hit the headlines for all the right reasons. The lead striker of Liverpool's team was definitely displaying his great form against Newcastle, as he collected Jose Enrique's long ball forward with unparalleled composure on his chest before slotting the ball past the keeper. Liverpool in 2012 have had a mixed bag, which saw them win a trophy but also lose a manager. Suarez himself has experienced a turnaround in fortunes after a difficult start in England, and is now hitting the target more regularly. With control such as this, it is likely that he will be delighting the Kop more often going into 2013.
9. Stephane Sessegnon (Fulham 1-3 SUNDERLAND)
http://youtu.be/6m30id2ov04 The first repeat offender on this list is Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon, who was not willing to let his finessed finish against Swansea be his best goal of the year. Against Fulham, Sessegnon collected the ball from the left wing, selling an effortless dummy away from the defender. Not wasting a moment of time, he struck the ball past the hapless Mark Schwarzer and into the far side of the goal, displaying a great deal of bend and precision from distance. No doubt that Sunderland could use a few more goals like this to climb up the table in the new year.
