20 Most Important Players In The Premier League 2014/15
6. Bojan Krkic
One of the stranger transfer dealings of the summer saw a former Barcelona, Ajax and Milan forward head to the Britannia Stadium. As Mark Hughes continues to evolve from the slightly out-dated, but indisputably effective, football of the Tony Pulis era, the Welshman clearly views his former club as a good place to source personnel. Appearing for Barcelona's first team as a teenager, much was expected of Bojan, but his past wonderkid status doesn't quite align with his current standing within the game. Technically gifted, certainly, but a lack of consistency hasn't allowed for the Spaniard to star at the forefront of a top club. Injuries have hampered his development somewhat, but the 23-year-old has enjoyed a prolific pre-season and looks to be coasting into the competitive campaign in style. As Stoke continue to champion a quick and attacking style, with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Omar Assaidi lighting up the flanks last term, Bojan could be the face of a distinct era for the Potters. Whether it will be one of cultured football or one remembered solely for Hughes' interesting marquee signing hangs in the balance.
