To this day, Scottish football still hasn't really said much about all the charges wrongfully levied against Rangers over the past few years. Due to apparently evading tax, the club were threatened with the stripping of titles, not to mention being unceremoniously dumped in the bottom tier of Scottish football, and made to feel like they were lucky for even having the chance to compete there. Not much is being said about all this nowadays, and there's a simple reason for that, Glasgow Rangers were found innocent, and the case was thrown out of court. In essence, Rangers as a football club did nothing wrong, it was merely a collection of nefarious individuals (such as Craig Whyte) who caused all the trouble and strife. That doesn't sit well with Celtic or their fans, who still conclude that Rangers are an evil institution that cheated the system for years, paving the way with gold for success on the pitch. That's all very well and good, but the court of law says otherwise, Rangers were judged not guilty, meaning any and all punishments should have been rescinded. They weren't, of course, but what else could be expected when a director for one of your major rivals is on the Scottish football board?
