Welcome to Sacrmento and let's not sugarcoat this one: the Kings NEED a point guard. Buddy Hield and Willie Cauley-Stein are solid young players, but they need someone to orchestrate the offense.

Short of a miracle that delivers them Markelle Fultz or Lonzo Ball, Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox is 100% the right pick here. The Kings are infatuated with Fox and for good reason: he was a supernova of athleticism in college.

He scored 16.7 points per game last season on .478% shooting. More importantly, however, is the fact that he dropped 39 points on Lonzo Ball in the Wildcats' Elite Eight game against UCLA. He's not perfect: he shot a dreadful .246% behind the arc last season and he's a bit weak as facilitator, but in a league run by hyper athletic point guards, Fox's motor and work ethic are impossible to pass up.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
