2019–20 UEFA Champions League Best XI

5. Serge Gnabry - Bayern Munich

For a player that Tony Pulis once labelled as not being good enough for West Brom, Serge Gnabry hasn't done too badly for himself.

Making nine starts and one substitute appearance over the course of the competition, the German international really made a name for himself with four goals in one game against Tottenham in that memorable 7-2 win in North London during the group stage. That performance alone would be enough to make this list, being the perfect example of pace, power, intelligence, agility and a devastating eye for goal.

The ex-Arsenal man bagged another brace in London during Bayern's 3-0 thumping of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, making him the first player in history to hit six goals in London during a Champions League run.

Remarkably skilful on the ball and blessed with fantastic dribbling abilities, Gnabry is the prime example of what confidence can do to a talented footballer. On top of his performances in London, the German international found himself on the end of another brace in the 8-2 semi-final win over Barcelona bringing his goal tally up to nine, and making him the third highest goal scorer in the competition with the second best goal conversion rate against his shot tally.
