3. Steve McClaren
Despite going down the tunnel to appreciative applause, Steve McClaren is yet to record his first league win of the season yet he should be applauded for his efforts against Arsenal. His tactical reshuffle after Aleksandar Mitrovic's sending off worked fairly well and the players responded to their manager's orders. The Newcastle boss showed savvy tactical knowledge as he reshaped his team and had to cope with ten men for the majority of the game. The Magpies could have pulled off a gutsy draw had they not conceded a scrappy goal in the second half.
