4 Villains (And 6 Heroes) From Newcastle 0-1 Arsenal

The atmosphere around St James' Park was outstanding and was commented on by the Newcastle boss after the Arsenal game. Fabricio Coloccini's own-goal was greeted with a home-end war-cry that urged the players to instantly push for an equaliser. It was certainly the loudest crowd of the season and rivalled the noise levels last heard during the Alan Pardew 'better days' from the 2011-12 season. If the crowds are this loud without a win recorded then the stadium will erupt if Newcastle start to pick up points; this will instantly provide Steve McClaren with a confidence that will then seep through to the players. More importantly the supporters are watching the football again and that is great to see. Lee Charnley's open email to fans applauded their support and called it "magnificent" and "truly valued". Let's hope the board continue to treat supporters with the respect they deserve.
