If the UFC has any regrets, the biggest should be their failure to get Fedor Emelianenko in the Octagon. Plain and simple, they failed to ever sign the greatest heavyweight fighter in the history of MMA, denying fans a plethora of tantalizing dream matches. Booking 'The Last Emperor' against Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, or Randy Couture would have drawn millions of eyes all over the world, but the UFC could never bring the Russian into the fold.

In the heyday of Pride FC, Fedor Emelianenko was unparalleled. Pride's heavyweight roster was the most stacked ever and Fedor was its God King. He tore through the likes of Gary Goodridge, Mark Coleman, and Mirko Cro Cop with ease. His comeback win against Kevin Randleman, after being suplexed onto his head, is one of the most iconic moments in MMA history, and his rivalry with Minotauro Nogueira is the stuff of legends.

The UFC has tried on many occasions to bring Fedor in, but they could never make a deal happen, usually because the two sides couldn't agree on the money. There's still a chance it could happen, but Fedor in 2017 is a shell of his former self.
