5 Blockbuster Fights UFC Should Make (And 5 They Never Did)

7. Should Book - Stipe Miocic Vs. Cain Velasquez

Stipe Miocic is on the brink of making UFC history. Despite the fact that the UFC heavyweight championship was one of the first titles created by the promotion, no fighter has ever defended it more than twice. Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez were both stopped on their third attempt, and now Miocic finds himself waiting for his next opponent so he can try and break that curse. His opponent for that bout should be former two time heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez.

It's the perfect story. Velasquez would be fighting to win back his championship and Miocic would be fighting to make history against arguably the greatest heavyweight fighter the UFC has ever seen. A fight of this magnitude doesn't even need a ton of promotion; it sells itself. Two behemoths trading leather in an attempt to win the grandest prize in Mixed Martial Arts.

This is the kind of fight fans dream of. If Velasquez wins, then the UFC has a three time champion to promote, and a huge trump card as they try to break into the Mexican market, and if Miocic wins, he cements himself as a true record breaking legend of the sport. What's not to love?
