5 Fights To Make After UFC Dublin

4. Cathal Pendred vs Tom Watson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXprW3CDqXs Cathal Pendred and Mike King had the definitive fight of the night in Dublin. With two rounds of back and forth action, not many would have predicted the ending of the bout. Pendred struggled to keep up with King in the first, and after King dropped him, it looked it might be over for the SBG fighter. If there is one thing we learnt about Pendred, it's that he is one tough son of a b****. Not many fighters could have taken the onslaught that King produced and come back to win the fight. At the end of the first, many were giving the round in favour of King 10-8. King's downfall would be gassing himself out when he was unable to finish the ever durable Pendred in round one. He looked a shell of himself in the second round, and once Pendred took it to the ground, King's wrestling was almost deemed incapacitated due to his fatigue. The partisan Irish crowd erupted for Pendred when he sunk in the rear naked choke for a comeback of the year 2014 candidate win. What next for Pendred? A fight with Tom Watson could be favourable should he get past Sam Alvey at Fight Night 47. Watson has seemingly drifted into the background in the middleweight division, and is coming off two losses. A win against the highly touted Pendred would definitely do wonders for reigniting his relevance. For Pendred, a win over a season vet like Watson could propel him into a top 15 spot, and opens doors for tougher fights quicker.
