https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8fv2oX4wpI Cat Zingano was expected to coach opposite Ronda Rousey during The Ultimate Fighter Season 18, after defeating Miesha Tate in what was essentially a title eliminator. Expected to meet Rousey for the title at the end of the season, Zingano blew out her knee before training started, and Tate was brought in as a last minute surprise replacement. Since then, Zingano has been through personal tragedy, due to the death of her husband, and has been away from the ring for over a year. Though UFC President Dana White initially said she would remain the number one contender, he has since commented that a tune up match would be in order for Cat. Zingano is a devastating striker, with wins over Tate and Raquel Pennington on her resume. 8-0 in her pro career, she has stoppages in seven of her eight fights. When she is back from injury, expect the purple belt in jiu-jitsu to be fast-tracked to a match with Rousey after an easy warm-up fight. She's already earned her shot, it's more about working off the ring-rust once she does make it back.
