A hero to the Portland Timbers 2 fans - or "Timbers Army" - but most certainly a villain to the Toon faithful because he was the architect of two of the home side's goals at Providence Park. Nanchoff's delivery was exemplary all night and, with the Timbers realising that any ball into the box was going to cause Newcastle any number of problems, they just continuously bombarded the area with crosses. Two assists - from a corner and a set-piece - and a free-kick that hit the underside of the bar is not a bad return for one night's work. Newcastle's back four will have nightmares about this MLS reserve side's winger for months to come no doubt...
