5 Heroes & Villains From NUFC 1-1 West Brom

2. Tony Pulis

It is not the fact that Tony Pulis managed to ensure his side left St James' Park with a point that has made the West Brom head coach an entry on this list - it is because he revealed that he expects John Carver to remain in charge at the Magpies next season. Speaking after the game, Pulis said:
"I don€™t think there'll be any change at this football club. "I think Mike Ashley is very loyal to the people he appoints, and although I don't know the politics around the place, the one thing he has done is to stick with his managers."
This message diluted the positives that the Toon faithful took from Saturday's game - because they simply do not want Carver, a man who has secured just two wins in 18 games, in charge next season.
