5. Aston Villa Picked Up The Most Yellow Cards

Five Aston Villa players received a caution by referee Anthony Taylor at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The home side Arsenal were recipients of 3 yellow cards and 1 red themselves. Ron Vlaar, Antonio Luna, Christian Benteke, Ashley Westwood and Gabby Agbonlahor all had their names taken into Mr Taylor's book. Dutch defender Ron Vlaar appeared to be fortunate not to receive a second yellow card in the second half for a blatant trip outside his own penalty area; similar to what Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny had received minutes earlier. Mr Taylor also awarded two penalties to the visitors during their 3-1 victory. It was a snatch and run effort from Aston Villa who saw 36% of the possession and lost the shots on goal tally 15 to 11. However, they did produce more shots on target than the home side who were a big disappointment and booed off the pitch. This result, along with victories for Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will surely urge Arsène Wenger and Arsenal to splash some cash between now and transfer deadline day.
