Vidal is a strong and passionate player, who likes to go forward but also drops back to make saving tackles. The Chilean is one of the most hard-working footballers in the game and never stops running until the final whistle. This means that he would suit Liverpool's rambunctious style of play which they demonstrated last season. Once Brendan Rodgers' team receives the ball, they are constantly looking to go forward with it. This was often deployed down the wing with Raheem Sterling, but also through the middle with Steven Gerrard and Coutinho. With the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, Rodgers could take a leaf out of Vidal's current club Juventus' book by deploying a 3-5-2 formation. Sterling and Lallana on either wing, with Gerrard and Henderson dropping deeper in midfield as holding men whilst Vidal operates in his favoured attacking midfield role. Manchester United failed to capture anyone's imagination with their football last season as they looked slow and poor. At least with Liverpool Vidal would have a platform to build his football around. Liverpool's would be one of the most feared midfield set-ups in the entire league if Rodgers can perfect the formation, and Vidal could be the key that holds the lock to Premier League glory.
