5 Reasons Why Sami Khedira Is Right To Choose Chelsea Over Arsenal

3. The Opportunity To Link Up With Andre Schurrle

Germany were breathtaking during the 2014 World Cup, sweeping aside all opposition almost nonchalantly as they marched imperiously on to the final before deservedly edging out Argentina at the Maricana. They played with a tenacious, swashbuckling swagger and their attacking style of play saw them thrash Portugal and Brazil. The Germans hammered the former 4-0 and the latter 7-1 and, against the Brazilians, both Sami Khedira and Andre Schurrle found the back of the net - Khedira making in 5-0 after 29 minutes and Schurrle wrapping up the game with a second-half brace. The two youngsters are among the most exciting up-and-coming players in Europe and could be playing together at Stamford Bridge from next season. What an exciting prospect. Chelsea have long-suffered from striker problems with the likes of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba proving ineffectual and Samuel Eto'o leaving. And if the two can hit it off, Khedira's decision to link up with compatriot Schurrle could reap big rewards. Could the Premier League be about to bear witness to another S&S strike partnership? Schurrle and Sami?
