6 Reasons Why Newcastle Must Sign Aleksandar Mitrovic Rather Than Charlie Austin

2. He Is Six Years Younger And Has Sell On Potential

Not trying to be all cynical and ruin 'transfer day' but it's quite obvious to see the reasoning behind Newcastle United being willing to stump up the asking price for Mitrovic rather than Austin. The Serbian is 20-years-old and although the QPR frontman isn't prehistoric he wouldn't return the £15 million figure if he were to move on in the next couple of years. You could argue that Mitrovic will need more nurturing than Austin who is relatively in his prime but the 20-year-old has proven experience and would rake in a decent profit if - and this is Newcastle United we are talking about - decide to cash in on him in the future.
