2. The Friendlies
Prior to this summers European Championships in Poland/Ukraine, England have warmed up against Norway and Belgium. They kept two clean sheets by winning both ties 1-0. Can we draw any conclusions from these performances? Neither Norway or Belgium have qualified for this summers tournament. Therefore it doesnt seem logical to be getting overly-excited about recording victories over them. True Norway only narrowly missed out on qualification in a group that consisted of Portugal and Denmark, but they very rarely looked like troubling England at the back and never looked like scoring. Belgium in fact pushed England all the way last night, hitting the post and drawing good saves from Joe Hart. If we can only just edge past Belgium, can we beat France? Verdict: No
