3. Where Will Hernandez and Welbeck Fit In?
Javier Hernandez played 36 games last season in all competitions, English star Danny Welbeck managed to play 40 for the Red Devils. With both of them scoring 12 goals throughout the year, they were fighting for that crucial place next to striker Rooney. Welbeck can easily be seen as the future of Manchester United whilst Hernandez is still young and hardworking. The addition of Dutchman Van Persie can only seriously harm Welbeck and Hernandezs growth and potential as players. With the PFA Player of the Year scoring a personal record of 30 league goals last season he along with Rooney is something of a dream attack. Although when Welbeck and Hernandez is pushed aside, will United really benefit long term for a deal that could end once Van Persie retires.
