5 Things Manchester City Fans Can Expect From Raheem Sterling

3. Speed And Youth

I don€™t like Route 1 football, but I began to tire of City playing tippy-tappy on the edge of both areas when what was needed was more direct and faster approach work. Sterling is lightning (as City have found out to their costs) and he will speed things up for the rest of the team: this injection of pace might be exactly what Yaya and Nasri need in those moments when they make Ray Wilkins look like Zico (harsh, I know). I also tired of being told that the City first team were, at an average age of 29, ancient (for someone of my age, this is doubly depressing). Sterling is practically a child, which means we€™ve got the best to come (unlike, say, United with Schweinsteiger).
