6 Footballers Who Totally Betrayed Their Manager

4. Carlos Tevez Spits His Dummy

Where to begin with Carlos Tevez?

The first time that the Argentine publicly undermined a club was back during his Corinthians days - the forward refusing to play for the club as he sought a big-money to Europe.

He'd of course get a move to West Ham, and then move to Manchester United. Even then, when the money men of Manchester City came a-calling, Tevez had no second thoughts about switching the red half of Manchester for the blue half. And it was at City where Carlos completely betrayed his manager.

Even though manager Roberto Mancini had made Tevez captained earlier in his City career, things soon soured between the former Boca Juniors man and his manager. This all famously came to a head during a September 2011 Champions League game against Bayern Munich when the player outright refused to come on as a substitute.

For all to see, Carlos Tevez had made a mockery of his manager - and his club.

After this shocking incident, Tevez would be frozen out of the Manchester City first team for five months as they club desperately tried to sell the player.

Finally, sixteen months after returning to action, the Argentina international would move to Juventus.
