The King of the Europa League almost joined the Bianconeri before signing for Manchester United last season, with Juventus' Managing Director Giuseppe Marotta claiming they were very close to the signing before the Red Devils stepped in, offering more money.

As it turned out, a £6 million loan fee and £265,000 a week was only enough to return a goal haul of four, despite making 26 appearances in the Premier League for the Manchester club. That means the Columbian international cost about £4.5 million per goal. Bargain.

Juventus on the other hand, reached the Champions League final and top scorer and former Red Devil, Carlos Tevez scored 29 goals in all competitions. Raw deal for United.
