6 Reasons Why Man Utd Must Sign Arturo Vidal

5. He Wants To Join United?

Manchester United's interest in Arturo Vidal has been splashed over the back pages of near enough every newspaper and tabloid over the last month or two and it's arguably the worst kept secret in football that the Red Devils are keen on signing Chile's World Cup hero, especially after the performances he put in during the tournament in Brazil. But interest from United will only take them so far. Juventus are under no pressure to sell, with Vidal contractually tied down to the Turin club until 2017. Nor will they want to sell, considering the midfielder is considered one of the best players in his position right now. What could sway it however is if Vidal were to come out and say he wants to move to Old Trafford. According to reports, the Chilean is keen on a move to United, and dropped hints over his club future earlier this week when he said: "I've heard about the rumours, but I haven't spoken more about this subject.

"I'm very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens."

Saying that he would "love to play for one of the biggest teams in the world" could mean anything - Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in his services too, and his honeyed words could be directed at them as much as they could be United. However, if he does indeed want to move to the Theatre of Dreams, the Red Devils must do everything within their power, because the opportunity to sign one of the world's best midfielders does not come around every summer.
