She came into the show "Pat Berry's girlfriend" and left a title contender, being the only fighter from team Melendez to even make it out of the opening round - but going all the way to the final. That's impressive. More impressive is how she came out and dominated Carla Esparza on the feet during the first round, making it look, for a time, like she could pull off the upset. In the end, Esparza's wrestling wore Rose down, but at only twenty-two years old, she has lots of time to develop as a fighter, and this likely won't be the last you see of her in title fights in the blossoming straw-weight division.
