2. Josh Haynes - The Ultimate Fighter Finale 3
Way back in 2006, Bisping entered the third Ultimate Fighter tournament at light heavyweight, training under former champion Tito Ortiz. His preliminary and semi-final wins came via TKO and submission due to strikes respectively. The final step to earning a spot on the UFC roster was to beat Josh Haynes in what was both the Ultimate Fighter Finale, and Bisping's first ever professional UFC contest.
"The Count" had already made UFC history as one of the first fighters (along with fellow Englishman Ross Pointon) who reside outside of North America to participate in The Ultimate Fighter, and had a shot at making more by becoming the first non-American to win the tournament. He did just that, stopping Haynes with punches in the second round to earn both a TKO victory and his UFC contract.
Whilst Bisping has gone on to fight and defeat mixed martial artists of a much higher calibre than Haynes, if not for winning this high-stakes fight at a relatively early stage in his professional career, there is no guarantee that he would have ever gone on to achieve the feats that he has inside the Octagon.
