7 Contenders For PFA Young Player Of The Year 2019/20
6. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin appears to be genuinely underrated this season. He started off slowly, sure, but once he found his feet, has proved to be an unstoppable force.
Hard-working and diligent, the Everton star has forced his way into the bracket of the finest budding stars in the Premier League. With 15 goals in all competitions, 13 of which have come in the top-flight, the 23-year old has demonstrated his deadly attacking instincts.
He has been at the heart of Everton's late revival, single-handedly accounting for 13 points since matchday 16 - the most by any player during that time frame as the Toffees have rose from relegation zone to the mid-table.
Calvert-Lewin's fine run of form has also convinced his manager Carlo Ancelotti that he can become one the best No.9s in football, while England head-coach Gareth Southgate was also touted to call him for the Euros.
The Toffees star has grown in stature since arriving at the Merseyside, and the club also recently rewarded his heroics with a new contract. He currently stands with an outside chance for this prize, but helping push Everton further up the table might hold him in good stead.
