7 Teams Who Could Win The 2015 Rugby World Cup

Predicting how the 7 betting favourites will perform at this year's tournament.

After months of waiting the 2015 Rugby World Cup finally kicks off this Friday evening (18 Sep) with England taking on Fiji in the tournament€™s opening match at the home of English rugby, Twickenham Stadium. Over the next month or so we will see the top 20 rugby nations in the world competing to try to be crowned the champions of the world. Some of the biggest rugby stars in the world are set to feature at the tournament, such as All Blacks€™ stars Richie McCaw and Julian Savea, the Wallabies€™ mercurial full-back Israel Folau, the host nation€™s captain Chris Robshaw and in his last ever tournament for Ireland, the monstrous second-row forward Paul O€™Connell. This year€™s tournament is being advertised as the biggest ever, with just under 2 and a half million tickets expected to be purchased and a significantly larger number of viewers expected to tune in on televisions around the world. ITV have been confirmed as the worldwide host broadcaster for the tournament, with all 48 matches to be shown live in the UK on ITV1 and ITV4. However the big question everyone has been asking is who will lift the trophy in this year€™s edition of the biggest tournament in world rugby. To help answer this question I plan to look at the betting odds provided by Paddy Power to see which 7 teams are being hotly tipped to win the tournament, as well as providing my own personal predictions as to how each team will fare. Note that all odds stated in this article were correct based on odds provided by Paddy Power at the time of writing, but will probably change between now and the start of the Rugby World Cup.
