8 Defenders That Will Be In Roy Hodgson's Provisional England Squad (And 1 That Won't)
1. Kyle Walker
Caps: 10 Goals: 0 Walker faces a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of this summer's tournament. It has been revealed by Tim Sherwood that the Spurs right back has been dealing with a long standing pelvic injury and it is feared that he will now be unavailable until at least 3 May. This would leave Walker with only two games to convince Hodgson that he is the man to provide cover for first choice full back Glen Johnson. The Tottenham defender has energy and pace in an abundance; he also has the ability to produce an excellent cross when he does get into attacking positions. These characteristics are appreciated by Hodgson, who likes to see his full backs marauding up the pitch and providing support to the wingers.
