8 Fighter Scandals That Rocked UFC In 2014

4. Josh Grispi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QCQKganHKA Josh Grispi went 0-4 in the UFC after coming over from the WEC in 2011. That's a pretty miserable UFC run, and it's noteworthy only because the company rarely lets fighters go on losing streaks that bad, especially fighters with little name value among the general public like Grisipi. It's not as if Grispi's losses were close, either. He lost two unanimous decisions and was stopped twice. Though he hasn't fought since February 2013 and was released after his fourth and final loss, Grispi was still linked to the promotion, as the last organization he had fought four, when he was arrested for domestic violence twice in August 2014. Grispi was first arrested on the 1st of August for assault and battery on his wife, and improper storage of firearms (near minors). He was then re-arrested after being released and assaulting his wife again. The former UFC fighter sent his wife text messages that included:

"I'm goin enjoy choking to death."

and

"U better not b bluffing about cops cuz I don't joke ur dead when I see u... Literally. I don't care I'm going to beat u n throw u to buddy, Ur dead."

"Buddy" was the family dog. Grispi's wife Kaitlyn suffered a broken wrist and concussion in the assaults. Eventually police discovered a large amount of drugs as well.

Dana White would distance himself from the fighter, pointing out he was no longer employed by the UFC, but it didn't hurt, as Summer 2014 because MMA's summer of domestic violence.
