8 Footballers Who Could End The Lionel Messi/Cristiano Ronaldo Era Of Dominance
3. Paul Pogba
If ever there was an appalling transfer decision, it was Manchester United's decision to allow Pogba to join Juventus in 2012. He had been the star of their youth team, and had been pencilled in as a future great. Although there may have been more to it than meets the eye, Sir Alex Ferguson should surely have done everything he could to keep hold of him. The 21-year-old has already developed into the most complete central midfielder in world football, and is an incredible footballer in the making. There is not a single weakness to his game, and he is superb at everything, from running with the ball, skill, tackling, passing and scoring spectacular goals. He is a hero at Juventus and for France, and it's hard not to see his career getting more and more impressive by the year. Although the Old Lady are a terrific side in their own right, Pogba's future deserves to lie away from the increasingly average Serie A. His talent belongs at someone like Real Madrid or Barcelona, and he can definitely mature into the most influential player at either club in the coming years. Many expect him to become the best player in the world at some point in his career, and it's hard to disagree.
