8 Most In-Form Football Managers In The World Right Now

4. Jose Bordalas

Jose Bordalas is a veteran manager within the Spanish game. His first managerial appointment was to Alicante B in July 1993, after a successful reign he was promoted to take charge of the first team in June 1994.

This led to many more posts within Spain and some impressive win rates, one of the most notable appointments was when he took charge of Deportivo Alaves in June 2015 and won the Segunda Division title the very next season, bringing the team to La Liga.

Bordalas joined La Liga 2 side Getafe in September 16 and immediately led them back to the top division. In his first full season in the top flight he achieved an 8th place finish, which was then followed by a 5th place finish in the 18/19 season, narrowly missing out on champions league football.

Getafe currently reside in 7th place in La Liga with 19 games played of the current season, although they are only 1 point behind the 5th and 6th placed teams who occupy the Europa League positions, a remarkable feat by a team who only recently joined the top tier of Spanish football.
