Another Everton player that Manchester City could potentially look at is Ross Barkley. Barkley has been one of few positives for a struggling Everton side this season, but he may need to move away from Goodison Park to take his career to the next level. Assuming he could be guaranteed first team football, Manchester City could be the perfect platform to present Barkley's potentially world class talents. Getting a game every week would be the issue for the Scouse attacking midfielder, as the role he would want is currently occupied by the wizard that is David Silva. The Spaniard has recently turned 30, so Barkley could be seen as replacement for Silva. A move to a big club may be essential for Barkley's England career, who has arguably fell behind Dele Alli in the pecking order. Barkley has been compared to one of the greatest England players of all time in Paul Gascoigne, but he surely wont be able to match the career of Gazza if he stays at Everton.
