9 Reasons Why Charlie Austin Should Sign For Newcastle
5. Money Talks - But It Isn't Everything
This one can apply to both QPR and Charlie Austin. Rangers themselves are understandably sitting back and demanding a fee in excess of £15 million for their star striker, while waiting for a bidding war to ensue. The lack of definitive bids to date may have QPR sitting nervously but they know Newcastle can pay the figure they want for Austin - and they will demand that fee. For Austin himself, he knows that he will be in for a pay rise wherever he ends up - St James' Park included - but the monetary factor should not be high on his priority list. If Austin does leave and make a success of whichever move he chooses then riches will befall him in the future anyway. Chelsea and Manchester United may promise short-term wealth but he will still be an extremely well-paid man if he moves to Newcastle, certainly earning far more than he is currently in west London anyway.
