AB De Villiers' 10 Best Moments

6. The Test Double Century In India

Not his highest Test score - he hit an unbeaten 278 versus Pakistan in Abu Dhabi in 2010 - but his 213* versus India at Ahmedabad in April 2008 announced to the world that he was destined to be a great of the game. In an innings of great maturity that went a long way to putting the match out of India's reach - South Africa dismissed the hosts for just 76 in the first-innings - de Villiers scored his runs from 333 balls in turning conditions against an Indian spin attack that included the might of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. The Proteas went on to win the match by the enormous margin of an innings and 90 runs with AB rightfully picking up the man-of-the-match award.
