Are Liverpool About To Re-Sign Craig Bellamy?

Man City striker heading to Melwood for a medical, according to sources in Wales...

According to Sky Sports News, and a source close to the Welsh FA, Craig Bellamy has been given permission to leave the Wales International training camp to head up to Liverpool's Melwood training complex for talks with Kenny Dalglish over a possible move from Manchester City. The Welsh attacker, formerly at Norwich, Coventry City, Newcastle United, Celtic, Blackburn, Liverpool, West Ham, and Cardiff City player is available on a free transfer, and would represent a coup for any club who take the chance on him. With Sergio Aguero, goal machine Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez all ahead of him in the pecking order at Eastlands, Bellamy was always going to struggle to get any playing time this season, and it looks like his likely destination isn't going to be QPR or Stoke as suggested earlier in the day, but the slightly shocking choice of Anfield. With Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Dirk Kuyt and David Ngog already at the club, the addition of Craig Bellamy will make Dalglish's upfront options look decidedly healthy heading into what must be a defining season given how money has been invested in the squad under the banner of rebuilding and mounting a sustained attack on the top of the league.
