The bookies' favourite. Should the Italian be appointed, Arsenal fans will hope and pray he makes the same, instant impact at the Emirates as his fellow countryman, Antonio Conte, has done at their London rivals Chelsea.

Allegri succeeded Conte, who's still on course to complete the domestic double in his debut season, at Juventus at the start of the 2014-15 season. He's added to the Old Lady's trophy cabinet with two Serie A titles and successive Coppa Italia's as well as guiding Juve to the Champions League final in 2015. Before this glut of success, Allegri also led AC Milan to the league title in 2011.

The 49-year-old has been rather coy about his future plans, and this will only add fuel to speculation that his fine tenure in Turin may be coming to an end. Then again...
