3. Confidence
A huge factor to any player at any level of the game, confidence is another thing that has had a huge role to play in Ramsey's rise, without becoming over-confident despite the odd slip. The Welshman was at fault for Borussia Dortmund's opening goal in a recent Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium, after dwelling on the ball a bit too long to allow Henrikh Mkhitaryan to help Dortmund to a 2-1 win. The 22-year-old did not let this perturb him however, and he went to to score the only goal of the in the return leg against Dortmund as well as a stunner against Liverpool, games both ending in Arsenal victories. The youngster has shown how important he is to the team time and time again this season, and his confidence is sure to have spread to the rest of the squad, most notably centre back pairing Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny, who had looked decidedly iffy before the end of last season. Ramsey's goalscoring exploits this season show just how much confidence can boost your performance, and he is looking likely to break the double figures barrier for the first time in his career this season.
