Arsenal Next Manager: 10 Replacements For Arsene Wenger

9. Jose Mourinho

Granted, the Portuguese boss isn't exactly popular with Arsene Wenger or the Emirates crowd, but it's not as though he would care about that, and the fans would come onside once the club started winning (as fans often do). Mourinho is currently out of work and probably would not take too much persuading to take another top job in his favourite league and (current) home city, and he would surely relish the chance to do what Wenger could not and win another league title with the club. In many ways he is Wenger's opposite - whereas the Frenchman is all about the long term view and careful planning, Mourinho is a short-term, scorched Earth-type manager. Undoubtedly he would leave Arsenal after at most three seasons, leaving a physically and mentally exhausted squad, but if Arsenal want the short term fillip of some silverware then Jose pretty much guarantees it.
