Arsenal Transfer News: Theo Walcott Will Leave Emirates For £15 Million

Arsenal are ready to offload wantaway attacker Theo Walcott for £15 million.

The Daily Mail. England's Euro 2012 winger has told manager Arsene Wenger that he won't commit his future to the Emirates unless Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie signs a contract extension. Both Walcott and Van Persie have just one one year left to run on their respective contracts and with Van Persie having declared last week that he won't be signing a new deal, Walcott is likely to force Arsenal's hands into selling the player for fear of losing him on a free next summer. The 23-year-old is being courted heavily by Juventus and also by Chelsea and now looks certain to leave Arsenal. As we reported earlier in the week, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Wigan winger Victor Moses after the 21-year-old shone during the Latics' memorable second half of the season that saw them survive for another year in the Premier League. Wenger witnessed at first hand how good Moses could be when he was one of the star players in the club's surprise victory at the Emirates towards the end of last season. The Nigerian international featured in all of Wigan's Premier League matches last term, starting in 36 of them and coming off the bench in the other two. Roberto Di Matteo's Chelsea have already made a £4 million offer for Moses that was immediately rejected by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan who has warned potential suitors that he will cost them at least £10 million. Chelsea were expected to come in with a second offer but now may pursue a deal for the more experienced Theo Walcott instead now that he is available but they will have to increase his current £70,000 a week deal to £100,000.
