Arsenal Transfers: 10 Deals That Could Happen In January
4. Mathieu Flamini OUT
With names like Joao Moutinho and Morgan Schneiderlin mooted as possible midfield acquisitions this January, it wouldn't be a surprise to see one or two ageing counterparts go the opposite way. There's no doubt Mathieu Flamini can still be an influential player for Arsenal on his day. His vision and calmness in possession helps settle his teammates in high pressure matches, but Arsene Wenger must find a top-drawer who can do this and more if he wants to mix it with the best midfields in Europe. Flamini has six months remaining on his current deal, meaning he is one of the most likely players to make way for the signings required to galvanise the north London club's domestic and European title credentials. Let's not forget the Frenchman can still do a job at the highest level, so a return to France perhaps to Monaco should Moutinho force a switch to the Emirates might be a sensible move. Probability: 9/10
