Ljungberg was a versatile attacking midfielder who could play on either wing, but preferred to operate behind the striker. Like his old teammate Overmars, Ljunberg inspired Arsenal to a Premier League and F.A. Cup double, this time in the 2001/2 season. He burst through the Chelsea defence to curl home a finish in the F.A. Cup final, and also scored vital league goals against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United. At the end of the season the swede had 17 goals to his name, and he would go on to record 72 strikes in his 9 year Arsenal career before leaving for West Ham United in 2007.
