2. Asmir Begovic
Stoke City have long denied rumours that they are about to sell star player Asmir Begovic to a "top" Premier League side in the face of fierce interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal, but the Bosnian
threw his future up in the air with some of his more recent comments:
"Will I leave Stoke City? There are many rumours, but so far I didn't get any concrete offers. But that doesn't mean that I will not get one."
The goalkeeper's future at the Britannia Stadium has been in doubt for months now ever since Stoke signed upcoming England No.1 prospect Jack Butland from Birmingham City, and with claims the 20-year old made in January that
he'd only leave the Championship side for first team football, it remains to be seen how new manager Mark Hughes will keep both players happy. He could be faced with little other option than to sell Begovic and use the
reported £15 million proceeds to strengthen other areas of his side. Despite Stoke's dramatic freefall toward the relegation zone toward the end of the season this year, Begovic remained one of their star performers and retained his status as one of the Premier League's top goalkeepers.
