1. Victor Valdes
Of all the potential replacements for Wojciech Szczsny listed here, Barcelona's unhappy Victor Valdes could be the most realistic target given the fact he has
stated his intention to quit the Nou Camp when his contract runs out next summer. With the Spanish giants far from prepared to lose their star on a free transfer in 12 months' time, they would be receptive to a deal should the Gunners make an offer, with reports claiming the 31-year old, who has been at Barca his entire playing career, could be allowed to leave for as little as £4.25 million. The newly crowned Spanish champions would however likely demand a figure closer to the £10 million nark but given the player's contractual situation, are hardly in a strong bargaining position. Valdes would bring a raft of experience with him to North London. A six-time Spanish Championship winner with a World Cup and European Championship to his name, he has been playing at the very highest levels of the game for the last 13 years, and could finally lend Arsenal the sort of world-class pedigree behind the sticks that David Seaman once brought to the side.
